Gary Corey

Forensic Accident Reconstructionist

Gary Corey is a fully Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist with the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction ACTAR (#1510), a National Child Safety Seat Technician and an accredited Drug Recognition Expert. He served as a police officer for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Glynn County Police Department in Georgia for 18 years. As a certified law enforcement instructor, he teaches basic accident investigation, radar, LiDAR and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Gary is s an FAA licensed UAV pilot and uses this technology to assist with the inspection and documentation of crash sites and vehicles.

Gary received his accident reconstruction training through the Georgia Public Safety Training Center and The Institute of Police Technology and Management at the University of North Florida.

Gary’s professional practice is in accident reconstruction with an emphasis in commercial motor vehicle accident reconstruction. Gary has performed accident reconstructions on hundreds of collisions involving commercial tractors and trailers, passenger cars, pedestrians, motorcycles and bicycles.

Gary is certified to download and analyze “black box” data from cars and heavy trucks, and has completed numerous certification courses in heavy truck brake examinations.

Outside of work, Gary enjoys camping with his wife Sharon Corey and dog Sassy. He has three sons, Gary III, John, and Eddie.
