Brian Ramos

Forensic Audio/Visual Analyst

Brian brings over two decades of experience in film, television, commercial media and corporate media to the field of audio/video forensics. He began his career in the music industry before bringing his talents to film and television though composing, production sound, and post-production audio. Among his many credits, Brian served as a lead on the production team for the Emmy-winning PBS series On Story, and produced the nationally syndicated On Story radio show for the Austin Film Festival and Public Radio International. Brian’s work in music, production sound and post-production audio has included projects for HBO, Showtime, Discovery, Netflix, Bravo, A&E and Meta, as well as films for television and the big screen.

Brian transitioned to forensics via post-production sound, where his years of experience and attention to detail proved invaluable in saving damaged audio from the cutting room floor. Memorably, in 2015, he led a team that salvaged and catalogued hundreds of hours of distressed media that had been collected over decades for the Austin Film Festival/On Story archive at Texas State University. Brian’s forensics clients now include federal law enforcement and collision reconstruction professionals who benefit from his expertise in audio/video forensic analysis.

Brian lives in Austin, TX where he enjoys spending time with his partner Julie and their family.
